With Sundar being ruled out, BCCI has also announced his replacement. The selectors have included an all-rounder player from Lucknow Super Giants in the squad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed through its official X handle that all-rounder player Washington Sundar is out of the ODI series. He has also announced replacement in the form of Ayush Badoni. Badoni plays for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL.

Washington Sundar got injured while bowling against New Zealand. In his place, Dhruv Jurel came to field as a substitute. Sundar’s injury was serious, due to which Harshit Rana was sent to bat before him.

But, when Harshit was out after scoring 29 runs, Sundar came on the field in pain. While batting, Sundar was having a lot of trouble in running away, so he was constantly searching for the boundary, but the Kiwi players were thwarting his efforts.

In the first ODI match played with New Zealand, Washington Sundar bowled 5 overs, in which he gave away 27 runs. But, he could not take even a single wicket. He did not get a single wicket.
