Washington Sundar’s replacement announced, this player got call from Team India for the first time

IND vs NZ: A 3-match ODI series is being played between India and New Zealand. All-rounder Washington Sundar was injured in the first match of the series, due to which he is out of the series. With Sundar being ruled out, BCCI has also announced his replacement. The selectors have included an all-rounder player from Lucknow Super Giants in the squad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed through its official X handle that all-rounder player Washington Sundar is out of the ODI series. He has also announced replacement in the form of Ayush Badoni. Badoni plays for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL.

He has scored 963 runs in 56 matches in the Indian League. Apart from this, he is seen captaining Delhi in domestic cricket. In his List-A career, he scored 693 runs in 22 innings at an average of 36 and added 18 wickets to his account.

How did Washington Sundar get injured?

Washington Sundar got injured while bowling against New Zealand. In his place, Dhruv Jurel came to field as a substitute. Sundar’s injury was serious, due to which Harshit Rana was sent to bat before him.

But, when Harshit was out after scoring 29 runs, Sundar came on the field in pain. While batting, Sundar was having a lot of trouble in running away, so he was constantly searching for the boundary, but the Kiwi players were thwarting his efforts.

Sundar had scored 7 runs

In the first ODI match played with New Zealand, Washington Sundar bowled 5 overs, in which he gave away 27 runs. But, he could not take even a single wicket. He did not get a single wicket. At the same time, with the bat, he scored 7 runs in 7 balls and was present at the non-strike end during Team India’s victory.
