Cruise will run on Yamuna river in Delhi, know what will be the route and when will it start?


New Delhi. People living in Delhi and NCR will soon be able to enjoy a cruise ride. Delhi government’s plan to run a cruise on Yamuna river is going to start very soon. The construction of the cruise is also almost complete. Delhi Government Minister Kapil Mishra, while taking stock of the construction work of the cruise ship being built in Mumbai, has shared its information on social media. This step is being taken with the aim of cleaning the Yamuna in Delhi as well as promoting tourism here. This will entertain people and also provide employment opportunities.

Information related to the history of Delhi will be provided to the tourists during the cruise journey. Along with this, there will be arrangements for entertainment of tourists along with cultural programs in the cruise. The cruise running on Yamuna river will be completely eco-friendly and based on solar-electric hybrid technology, which will not cause any harm to the environment. The cruise service will be started mainly from Sonia Vihar in Wazirabad Barrage area to near Jagatpur Shani Mandir. The travel route of the cruise will be approximately 4-8 kilometers. For the operation of cruise, work is being done to develop this part of Yamuna river under National Waterway-110.

Delhi Government Minister Kapil Mishra said that the cruise will be flagged off from Mumbai for Delhi on January 20. After about 4-5 days the cruise will reach Delhi where the engine will be fitted. The cruise service will be launched by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in February. The minister said that people will be able to enjoy luxury experience for very little money. The cruise will have a round duration of 1 hour and about 40 people will be able to board it at a time. The cruise will have the facility of both individual and group tours. A water sports hub will also be built from where the cruise will run.
