RCB’s great win in Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated UP Warriors by 9 wickets at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. In this match, UP Warriors, batting first, scored 143 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. RCB achieved the target easily on the basis of excellent innings by Grace Harris and captain Smriti Mandhana.
RCB’s second consecutive win
This was RCB’s second consecutive win in the tournament. Earlier, they had defeated defending champions Mumbai Indians by three wickets in the inaugural match. With this win, RCB has reached the top position in the points table. The Smriti Mandhana-led team is at number one with a net run rate of 1.964 with two won matches and four points. On the other hand, UP Warriors have not got any win so far and are at the last position in the points table.

While chasing the target of 144 runs, RCB adopted an aggressive strategy from the beginning. Grace Harris started the game brilliantly by scoring a half-century in 22 balls. He scored 85 runs in 40 balls, which included 10 fours and 5 sixes. Harris almost turned the match in RCB’s favor by scoring 32 runs in one over. Captain Smriti Mandhana showed a composed game and contributed unbeaten 47 runs in 32 balls.
RCB’s dominance in the points table
The 137-run partnership between Harris and Mandhana turned the match in favor of RCB. RCB achieved the target in just 12.1 overs and registered a spectacular victory by 9 wickets. With this victory, the team has maintained its excellent performance in the points table, making it clear that RCB is among the title contenders this season.
