New Delhi : The investigation of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is still going on regarding the massive stampede that took place during the road show of actor-turned-politician Vijay in Tamil Nadu last year. In this tragic incident, 41 people lost their lives, while many others were seriously injured. Vijay reached CBI office in Delhi
According to sources, on Monday, actor Vijay reached the CBI headquarters in Delhi for questioning in this case. The investigating agency interrogated him intensively for more than six hours. Denied responsibility for the party
During interrogation, Vijay clarified that his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) is not responsible in any way for this stampede. According to party sources, Vijay said that seeing the situation worsening, he had left the venue to avoid any further untoward incident. The party officials who were interrogated earlier had also adopted the same stand.

There was a stampede in Karur rally
This accident took place on September 27 during Vijay’s rally in Karur district of Tamil Nadu. Due to the large crowd gathered, the situation went out of control and a stampede broke out. Many people were seriously injured in this incident, whose treatment took a long time.

No face to face with other witnesses
According to CBI sources, Vijay was not confronted with any other witness during Monday’s interrogation. The agency is currently collecting their statements and will match them with the details and other evidence recorded by the Tamil Nadu Police.
