According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain in Haryana in the coming days. The weather of Haryana is going to be very fluctuating during the next one week:
- First 2-3 days: Severe cold and cold wave will continue for the next 48 to 72 hours. There has been a warning of dense fog in the morning and night.
- Change in temperature: After January 14, the minimum temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, which will reduce the chill at night.
- Knock of rain: There is a possibility of rain in some parts of the state on January 15 and 16. After this, the sky may remain partly cloudy on January 17 and 18 also.

At present, visibility is being recorded very low in districts like Sirsa, Hisar, Fatehabad and Kurukshetra of Haryana. Visibility has reached below 50 meters at many places. The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ and advised drivers to exercise caution. However, experts believe that the coming rains may remove the blanket of fog and will also provide relief from air pollution.
