AAP-BJP should not make derogatory statements on our gurus: Pargat Singh!

Politics is intense over the video of Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi related to Sikh Gurus. Jalandhar Police has registered an FIR against unknown people in this case, on which Congress MLA Pargat Singh gave his reaction on Monday.

Speaking to reporters, Pargat Singh said, “There is a party of dramatists in Punjab. This matter is of Delhi Assembly. The video has been further sent to the forensic lab. Either Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi or BJP has spoken in the video, we have no role in it. I say that stop speaking such language towards our gurus, whether it is BJP or Aam Aadmi Party.”

Congress MLA Pargat Singh alleged, “Those who prepare the content have prepared it only to provoke. The Jathedar of Akal Takht Saheb has called Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He only talks here and there. Assembly Delhi has summoned the BJP. I think he will go there and answer.”

He targeted Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s statement in which he had said that Atishi had not insulted the Gurus. An attempt is being made to defame Aam Aadmi Party by editing the video, for which action should be taken against BJP.

The Congress MLA said, “If it is so, then action should be taken against BJP. Sirsa was the first to share this FIR, there is no FIR registered against him anywhere. When we say that Aam Aadmi Party is the ‘B’ team of BJP, then everyone starts laughing. The FIR and application complaint gets drafted from there itself.”

They have considered the people of Punjab to be brainless, thereby belittling all Punjabis.”

Regarding complainant Iqbal Singh, he said, “People get calls from Delhi, pressure is put on them. The simple thing is that nothing happens here, everything is decided from Delhi.”
