The increasing drug trade in Thakurdwara of Moradabad is now breaking the patience of the people. The anger of the townspeople has erupted on social media. Local people and BJP leader Rudradutt Sharma have openly said that until the black drug trade is completely eliminated from the cities and villages, there is no point in any meeting of the Peace Committee.

Sharp questions on business leaders and peace committee

BJP leader Rudradutt Sharma, while sharing a post on social media, has directly targeted the influential people who are part of the Aman Committee. He raised the question whether the big businessmen and leaders of the city do not know from where the drug gang is running in Thakurdwara? He said that due to drug addiction, not only the city but also the youth of the rural areas are being completely ruined and families are being ruined while playing.

The pain of young sons and the pain of the family

Rudradutt Sharma wrote very emotionally that when a young son dies from a house due to drug addiction, a mountain of sorrow falls on that family. He has made an emotional appeal to the people of Thakurdwara that everyone will have to unite in time, otherwise this addiction will engulf every house. He clearly says that real ‘peace’ will come only when drug addiction is eradicated, hence the meetings of peace committee should be stopped till drug addiction is eradicated.

Steps of youth moving towards crime

This demand has not been raised for the first time in Thakurdwara. Even before this, voice has been raised against drug addiction many times, but due to no concrete action from the administration, the situation remains the same. The youth who have fallen prey to drugs have now turned to crime to fulfill their addiction. Due to lack of money, these youth are not shying away from committing small thefts, which has created an atmosphere of insecurity in the entire area.

Strict action expected from police administration

Local citizens believe that the police administration will now have to leave its soft stance and take strict measures. If the sale of drugs is not completely controlled, it will be impossible to rescue the coming generations from this quagmire. People now do not want assurances but want concrete action on the ground so that Thakurdwara can be freed from this trap of drugs.
