Scanning unverified or fake QR codes can put your bank account at risk. So today we will tell you some tips with the help of which you can identify fake and real QR codes-
Listen carefully after payment – Many shops use Soundbox to confirm transactions. If you don’t hear the usual payment sound, be careful.
Verify QR Code – If a QR code looks suspicious, scan it with Google Lens or another trusted app to verify its authenticity.
Check Payee Name – Always verify the name of the shop or owner before confirming payment. If the name is incorrect or unknown then do not proceed.
Beware of unknown calls or messages – If you receive a call or message for payment from an unknown number, report immediately and do not share any personal information.
