Deputy head husband and BJP leader murdered in Galudih, Jamshedpur, shot after asking for identity

Jamshedpur: Tarapad Mahato, husband of Asharani Mahato, the deputy head of Ulada Panchayat, was shot dead by criminals at a Pragya Center in Khadikalony in Galudih police station area on Monday night. There was a sensation in the area after the murder of Pragya Kendra Director and BJP leader. The police is investigating the entire matter.

According to the information received, Tarapad Mahato, resident of Putru village, was running Pragya Center (CSC Center) in Khadikaloni for the last two years. On Monday, there was a lot of activity in Pragya Center regarding Tusu festival. By around 8 pm, a large number of rural women were gathered at the center to withdraw money online. Taking advantage of this crowd, two masked criminals riding on a bike reached there. According to eyewitnesses, the criminals first went to Tarapad Mahato and asked his introduction and as soon as it was confirmed that he was Tarapad, the criminals took out their pistol and fired at him indiscriminately.

According to eyewitnesses, the criminals targeted Tarapad Mahato and fired two bullets, due to which he fell bleeding. This sudden firing created a stampede among the women and local people present in the centre. After committing the crime, the criminals fled away on a bike. Nobody tried to stop them. The local people hurriedly started preparations to take him to the hospital, but by then he had died.
