CMF Headphone Pro launched for Rs 6,999: 5 best features you shouldn’t miss
CMF by Nothing has entered the over-ear headphones segment in India with the launch of the CMF Headphone Pro, cleverly combining modular design, long battery life, tactile controls, and high-fidelity sound at an aggressive price point.
Priced at Rs 7,999, but with a limited-time launch offer of Rs 6,999, the Headphone Pro aims to stand out in a crowded category by focusing on customization, usability, and endurance rather than just specifications.
Here are the top five features that set the CMF Headphone Pro apart:
1. Design
One of the most distinctive elements of the CMF Headphone Pro is its modular, customisable design. The headphones come in three colorways—Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green—but go a step further with swappable ear cushions that allow users to change the look and feel of the headphones over time.
This modular approach is not just cosmetic. Different cushions can slightly alter comfort and sound signature, letting users adapt the headphones to their preferences.
2. Roller and Energy Slider
Instead of relying only on touch gestures or app-based controls, CMF has built physical, tactile controls directly into the headphones.
- The Roller allows users to control volume, playback and ANC with scrolls and presses.
- The Energy Slider lets users adjust the balance between bass and treble in real time, depending on the “energy” of the track they’re listening to.
- A customisable button can be assigned to features like Spatial Audio or quick AI access.
This focus on tactile interaction makes the Headphone Pro feel more intuitive and reduces the need to constantly open an app while listening.
3. 40 dB Hybrid Adaptive ANC
CMF Headphone Pro features Hybrid Adaptive ANC capable of reducing noise by up to 40 dB. The system automatically detects ambient noise levels and adjusts cancellation accordingly, switching between three levels depending on the environment.

This adaptive approach helps reduce listening fatigue while ensuring effective noise suppression in noisy settings like traffic, offices or cafes — without over-isolating the listener when it’s not needed.
4. LDAC, Hi-res audio and 40mm drivers
Sound quality is powered by custom 40 mm nickel-plated drivers, designed to reduce distortion and deliver clearer mids and punchier bass. The headphones support:
- LDAC Bluetooth streaming up to 990 kbps
- Dual Hi-Res Audio certifications
- Spatial Audio modes for cinema and concert-style listening
Additionally, the Personal Sound feature uses Audiodo technology to create a sound profile tuned to each user’s unique hearing characteristics and ear shape, offering a more personalized listening experience.
5. 100-Hour battery life
Battery life is one of the Headphone Pro’s biggest highlights. CMF claims:
- Up to 100 hours of playback (ANC off)
- Up to 50 hours with ANC on
- 8 hours of listening from a 5-minute charge
- Full charge in under 2 hours via USB-C
The headphones can also be charged directly from a smartphone using a Type-C to Type-C cable, making them practical for travel and long usage cycles.
