Government’s big focus on development of Bastar, preparation to further strengthen public trust

Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has said that a new era of peace and development is now beginning in Bastar region. After the weakening of Naxalism, the main objective of the government is to strengthen the confidence of the people of Bastar. For this, the government is continuously emphasizing on dialogue, development works and basic facilities.

In a high level meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan in Raipur, the Chief Minister gave clear guidelines to all the departments regarding the overall development of Bastar.

Goal of double engine government – ​​all-round development of Bastar

Chief Minister Sai said that the Central and State governments are working together to connect Bastar with the mainstream of development. He said that a special action plan for Bastar will be made for the next three years, so that work can be done expeditiously in every area.

All departments have been instructed to work in coordination. Also, the secretaries have been asked to visit Bastar themselves and review the ground situation of the schemes.

Special focus on education, health and employment

The Chief Minister said that now it is most important that education, health and employment facilities reach the Naxal affected areas quickly. School buildings, good teachers, hospitals, medicines and employment opportunities can change the future of Bastar.

He said that the increasing participation of people in events like Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum shows that the people want to move forward on the path of peace and development.

Emphasis on drinking water, electricity and mobile network

In the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed drinking water, electricity and mobile network. Instructions were given to make arrangements for supply from surface water sources to provide clean water to fluoride affected areas.

He also stressed on providing electricity to the remaining villages soon and installing mobile towers in remote areas, so that people can connect in a better way.

Employment for youth through tourism

Chief Minister Sai talked about promoting tourism in Bastar. Work will be done on development of sites under Home-Stay Scheme, Bastar Tourism Corridor and Swadesh Darshan Scheme.

He said that with the initiative of 32 local guides trained from IITTM Gwalior, the youth will get employment and tourism will get a new identity.

Vandhan Kendra and expansion of health services

Collection and processing of minor forest produce will be promoted through Van Dhan Kendras, which will increase the income of tribal families.

In the health sector, work will also be done rapidly on medical colleges, PM-Abhim scheme, bike ambulance and better hospital facilities.

Proposal for special assistance from the Center

The Chief Minister directed all the departments to immediately send their proposals for special central assistance. With this, the development work of Bastar can be further accelerated.
