The country is going to get nine Amrit Bharat and two new Vande Bharat Express, know the routes and fares.

New Delhi:A very good news has emerged for railway passengers. Indian Railways is going to introduce a total of 11 new trains including Vande Bharat Sleeper and Amrit Bharat Express with the aim of strengthening rail connectivity in different parts of the country. States like West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka and Maharashtra will directly benefit from these trains. The special thing is that many of these states are in an election environment, where better transport facilities are considered important.

Plan to start 11 new trains

According to the Railways’ plan, these 11 new trains include 8 Amrit Bharat Express, one Vande Bharat Sleeper train and two Superfast Express trains. The country’s first Vande Bharat train is being started on the Delhi-Howrah route, which will pass through many important stations of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi. Amrit Bharat Express has been introduced as a train offering better facilities at low fares.

Major routes of Amrit Bharat Express

The routes of new Amrit Bharat trains that have been announced include Delhi-Howrah (Anand Vihar Terminal), New Jalpaiguri-Tiruchirapalli, SMVT Bengaluru-Alipurduar, Alipurduar-Panvel, Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar (Lucknow), Kamakhya-Rohtak, Sealdah-Varanasi and New Jalpaiguri-Nagarkoli. These trains will connect North-East, Eastern India and South India in a better way.

Country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train

The country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train will run between Howrah and Guwahati (Kamakhya). This will be a modern train with 16 coaches, which will include 11 third AC, 4 second AC and one first AC coach. This train will run at a speed of about 180 kilometers per hour and will cover the distance of 958 kilometers in about 14 hours. It will stop at major stations like Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri and Kamakhya.

The fare from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri has been fixed at Rs 1334, from Howrah to Malda Town at Rs 960 and from Howrah to Kamakhya (2AC) at Rs 2970. Howrah-Kamakhya fare in First AC has been kept at Rs 3640. The special thing is that there will be no facility of RAC and waiting tickets in this train.

Two new superfast express trains

Apart from this, Bengaluru-Balurghat Express and Bengaluru-Radhikapur Express will also be started between West Bengal and Karnataka. This will make travel between South and Eastern India easier.

Howrah-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express

The train number of Howrah-Delhi (Anand Vihar) Amrit Bharat Express will be 13065 and 13066 in the return direction. This train will run two days a week and will stop at 25 major stations like Bardhaman, Asansol, Gaya, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Varanasi, Lucknow.
