Bangladesh will have to play in India only! ICC did not find any concrete reason to change the venue

Speaking to PTI, an ICC source said that its investigation report did not find any concrete reason on the basis of which Bangladesh’s matches should be shifted out of India. Whereas, the source clearly said that in Nazrul’s statement some parts of the security report were selectively presented and misinterpreted.
Earlier, ICC had made it clear that Bangladesh will have to play T20 World Cup matches in India only. If Bangladesh does not do this then its points will be deducted. Bangladesh’s sports advisor Azif Nazrul had earlier claimed that the ICC security team had acknowledged Dhaka’s concerns. He has said that it can be difficult and risky for Bangladeshi players and supporters to stay in India.
However, the latest report made it clear that ICC is not thinking of shifting Bangladesh’s matches. In such a situation, there will be only two options left for Bangladesh – either they play in India or give their points to the opposing teams without playing.
