Fire incident in BJP MP’s residence in Delhi

Patna Sahib: A fire broke out in the official residence of BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad located in Lutyens Zone of Delhi on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at around 8:05 am on Mother Teresa Crescent Road. Initially the fire department received information about the fire in Kothi No. 2, but on reaching the spot, it was found that the fire was in Kothi No. 21, which is the residence of the MP.

Description of fire

The fire started in a bed located in a room, after seeing the flames the fire brigade was immediately informed. Three fire tenders reached the spot and the fire was brought under control within some time. It is a matter of relief that no person has been injured in this incident. The fire department and police team are carefully investigating the cause of the fire.

Confusion in identifying the cause of fire

Initial investigation found that the center of the fire was the bed, which was extinguished in time. It was fortunate that no one was present in the room at that time, which averted a major accident. When the fire brigade received a call soon after the fire, they reached the right location, although there was some confusion about the address at first. The cause of the fire has not been known yet, it is a matter of investigation whether the fire broke out due to short circuit or there was some other reason.
