WPL 2026: Harmanpreet Kaur makes history! She became the first athlete in the world to achieve this feat

She became the first Indian player to achieve such a feat. She also became the second player in the world to score 1,000 runs in the tournament. Also, she has become the first woman player in the world to score the most fifties in the tournament.

With these four runs, her total tally reached 1003 and she went on to etch her name in golden letters in the history of the Women’s Premier League.

Previously, this feat of scoring 1000 runs in the Women’s Premier League was done by Nat Cyver Brunt, while playing for Mumbai Indians, Nat Cyver Brunt scored 1101 runs in 31 matches. Her highest score during this period has been 80 not out. Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur has now reached the second position in this list.

30th in Premier League matches played so far Harmanhas scored 10 half-centuries. Her Mumbai Indians teammate Nat Syver-Brunt and UP Warriors captain Meg Lanning are second with nine fifties each. Harmanpreet has recorded two records in this single match. One is that after hitting her 10th half-century in the WPL, Harman became the first Indian to score 1000 runs in the WPL and the second batsman overall.
