world’s fastest economy

For India, the world’s fastest growing major economy, exports are critical to enhancing economic strength, reducing trade deficit and promoting inclusive growth. The Export Readiness Index uses a consistent and data-based methodology.

Under this, many factors including export policies, business environment, quality of infrastructure and export results have been evaluated. In this, data is collected from both state and central government sources and weightage is given to each indicator based on its importance.
