UP Warriors defeated by stormy innings of Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana, Bengaluru registered second consecutive win in WPL 2026
WPL 2026 RCB vs UPW Highlights: The fifth match of the Women’s Premier League 2026 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriors. The match took place on 12 January at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Bengaluru won this match comfortably by 9 wickets.
It is worth noting that this is the second win for Royal Challengers Bangalore in WPL 2026. Bengaluru’s bowlers performed brilliantly in this win and restricted UP Warriors to a respectable but manageable score.
UP Warriors innings
In this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bowl first, which was completely in their favor. Batting first, UP Warriors had a very poor start and wickets kept falling at regular intervals. In the first 12 overs they scored only 66 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. Although no more wickets fell in the remaining 8 overs, they were able to add only 77 runs. As a result, UP Warriors finished their innings with a total of 143 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
Deepti Sharma and Diandra Dottin were the top scorers for UP Warriors. Deepti remained unbeaten on 45 runs and Dottin remained unbeaten on 40 runs. Both of them made a partnership of 93 runs for the sixth wicket. On the other hand, for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Shreyanka Patil and Nadine de Klerk took two wickets each, while Lauren Bell got one wicket.

Royal Challengers Bangalore played a tremendous innings and won the match in just 13 overs. Bengaluru openers Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana made an easy victory by making a partnership of 137 runs. Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 145 runs losing one wicket in 12.1 overs and won the match by 9 wickets.
For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Grace Harris scored 85 runs, while Smriti Mandhana scored 47 not out. Shikha Pandey took the only wicket for UP Warriors, although the entire bowling unit of UP was badly beaten.
