In the concluding session of Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big message while addressing thousands of youth from across the country. He said that the future of India is in the hands of today’s youth and this youth power is the real engine of developed India. The Prime Minister said in clear words that to take the country forward, the youth will have to free themselves from the mentality of slavery. New thinking, new direction and confidence will make India a developed nation by 2047.
PM Modi’s unwavering faith in youth
Prime Minister Modi said in an emotional tone that when he took oath as Chief Minister for the first time, many of today’s youth were not even born. Even when he became Prime Minister in 2014, most of the youth were children. Despite this, his faith in the youth always remained intact. He said that I draw energy from your energy and today the dream of developed India rests on your shoulders. This confidence shows that the government is not only listening to the youth but is also entrusting them with the responsibility of leadership.
The journey till 2047 and the role of youth
The Prime Minister said that the time from today to 2047 is very important for both India and the Indian youth. Only the ability of the youth will determine the strength of the country. If the youth is successful then India will touch the heights of the world. He said that the dream of developed India is incomplete without youth leadership. This is the reason why the government is working by keeping the youth at the center of every policy and every scheme.
India changed from startup to space
Comparing India before 2014 and today, PM Modi said that earlier there was policy inertia, red tape and lack of opportunities. There were obstacles everywhere, be it job, business or examination. Today Startup India, Digital India and easy rules have changed the picture. Where earlier there were less than 500 startups, today thousands of young entrepreneurs are making the country proud. India has reached new heights with the entry of private companies in the space sector also.

New India will be created through culture and technology
Referring to the Orange Economy, the Prime Minister said that India is becoming a global hub on the basis of cultural content and creativity. Film, music, gaming, digital content and new technology are bringing huge opportunities for the youth. Referring to Macaulay’s education policy, he said that it instilled inferiority complex among Indians. Now is the time for the youth to be proud of their roots and take the country forward with self-reliant thinking.
