Parasakthi 4 day box office collection: Sivakarthikeyan starrer crosses Rs 50 crore gross mark
Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi has made a decent collection at the worldwide box office in four days and surpassed the Rs 50 crore gross mark on Tuesday.
Parasakthi is one of the most hyped Tamil movies of the year. The film was supposed to clash with Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, which was to release on January 9. Trade analysts were keeping their fingers crossed over its success at the box office. But it became a solo release this Pongal season after the latter was postponed due to the delay in its censorship.
The hype helped the Sivakarthikeyan starrer register decent advance booking for its opening day. Parasakthi opened to a thunderous response with its collection of Rs 26 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day. It became one of the biggest openers of the actor.

Parasakthi garnered mixed reviews and ratings from critics and audiences. The word of mouth helped the movie fetch decent numbers on Sunday. Its business dipped considerably on Monday and Tuesday. As per estimates, the movie has minted Rs 53 crore at the worldwide box office in four days.
Parasakthi is a historical political action drama film based on true events. Director Sudha Kongara has written the story, which follows two brothers participating in the 1965 Anti-Hindi imposition agitation in Tamil Nadu. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela.
Aakash Bhaskaran of Dawn Pictures has produced the film with a whopping budget of over 100 crore. It theatrical rights were sold for a record price for Sivakarthikeyan’s film. The movie is estimated to have recovered Rs 25 crore for its distributors. The movie is expected to be a blockbuster success for them in the coming days.
However, Parasalthi clashes with two Tamil films, Vaa Vaathiyaar, starring Karthi, and Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil, featuring Jiiva, which have been released today. Word of mouth is supposed to be the first choice among the three films and help it rake in a rocking number.
