New Delhi, 14 January. Amidst the chaos in Iran, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has asked Indians to leave Iran immediately. In fact, in view of the ongoing political instability, violent demonstrations and security situation in Iran, the Indian government has issued an advisory for its citizens.
The Indian Embassy in Tehran has said that all Indian nationals currently present in Iran – be they students, pilgrims, businessmen or tourists – should leave the country as soon as possible through available means.
Extension of advisory issued by Government of India on January 5, 2025
In the advisory issued by the Indian Embassy, it has been said that this advisory is an extension of the advisory issued by the Government of India on January 5, 2025. The advisory said, ‘In view of the constantly changing situation in Iran, Indian citizens are advised to leave Iran by any available means of transport, including commercial flights.’
