This fruit is very beneficial for mother and baby during pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a very sensitive and joyful stage of a woman’s life. During this time, the mother’s body fulfills not only her own needs but also the needs of the baby developing in the womb. In such a situation, many questions regarding diet naturally come to mind – what should be eaten, how much should be eaten and which food should be taken which gives energy to the mother and helps in the health, safety and proper development of the baby.
An important fruit among these nutritious food options is Custard Apple, which is also known as Custard Apple or Sitaphal. In Ayurveda, custard apple is considered a fruit that gives strength. At the same time, science also believes that custard apple is a storehouse of nutrition. Its taste is sweet. It gradually gives strength to the body without causing any harm. During pregnancy, when a woman’s body gets tired quickly and digestion becomes weak, then custard apple is very beneficial.
Custard apple contains natural sugar, which slowly gets converted into energy as soon as it enters the body. During pregnancy, a woman repeatedly feels weak and dizzy. Eating custard apple provides energy to the body, due to which the mother feels a little lighter and stronger. This energy also reaches the child in the womb through blood.
According to Ayurveda, Custard Apple calms Vata. Increase in Vata during pregnancy causes problems like stomach ache, gas, restlessness and lack of sleep. The pulp of custard apple gives coolness to the stomach, softens the intestines and eases digestion.
Science also says that Custard Apple contains rich fiber, which relieves constipation. Constipation is a common problem during pregnancy, and custard apple helps to cure it without medicine.
Vitamin B6 is found in Custard Apple, which is very important for pregnancy. This vitamin helps in the development of the child’s brain. Besides, it also balances the mother’s mood. Hormones change during pregnancy, which increases irritability and stress. Sitaphal helps calm these emotional ups and downs.
Vitamin C and antioxidants make custard apple more special. These elements increase the mother’s immunity. This means that the mother’s body is able to fight infections better and the risk of diseases is reduced. When the mother remains healthy, the child also remains safe. Antioxidants clean the body internally, keeping the blood clean and providing clean nutrition to the child.
Custard apple also contains elements like iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Iron helps in making blood, which reduces the risk of anemia. Calcium strengthens the foundation of the child’s bones and teeth. Magnesium relaxes the muscles and potassium helps in balancing blood pressure. All these elements together keep the mother’s body in balance and give the right direction to the child’s development.
