Stock Market Today: Huge volatility in early trading, Sensex-Nifty fell in domestic stock markets.

Mumbai. Domestic stock markets Sensex and Nifty witnessed huge volatility in early trading on Wednesday. Investors stayed away from the market amid continued foreign capital outflows and global tariff uncertainties. BSE Sensex fell 53.88 points to 83,573.11 in early trade while NSE Nifty slipped 16.55 points to 25,719.25.

Among the 30 companies included in the Sensex, shares of Asian Paints, Tata Consultancy Services, Bajaj Finserv, InterGlobe Aviation, Sun Pharma and UltraTech Cement were the biggest losers. However, shares of Tata Steel, Bharat Electronics, NTPC and Axis Bank were among the gainers. In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei 225, China’s SSE Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were among the gainers.

US markets closed with a decline on Tuesday. The price of international standard Brent crude fell by 0.49 percent to $ 65.15 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers on Tuesday and sold shares worth a net Rs 1,499.81 crore. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,181.78 crore.
