Haryana: Masoom Sharma has become a prominent name in the Haryanvi music industry. He was born on 27 March 1991 in Brahmanwas village of Jind district, Haryana. Village simplicity, native dialect and Haryanvi culture became the identity of his songs. Since childhood, he was interested in music, which later became the basis of his career.
Got recognition from superhit songs
Masoom Sharma entered the industry in 2009 with his first music album ‘Jalwa Haryana’. Initially he faced difficulties, but gradually his songs started becoming popular among the youth. His voice and lyrics of songs were directly related to village life.
He gave many hit songs, like ’60 Mukadme’, ‘Tuition Badmashi Ka’, and ‘Chambal Ke Daku’, which brought him fame in Haryana. His songs remained popular in stage shows and YouTube. He also worked with Haryanvi dancer Sapna Chaudhary.
Journey of association with Bollywood
Masoom Sharma’s dream was to become an actor, for which he even went to Mumbai. However, he did not get the opportunity he expected in Bollywood. He then focused on music, which proved to be a turning point in his career.
Although he did not get success in acting, he got associated with Bollywood through music. He sang the song ‘Panwadi’ for the film ‘Sunny Sanskari’, which also featured Khesari Lal Yadav. In this way his dream of joining Bollywood was partially fulfilled.

With the increasing popularity of Masoom Sharma, controversies also came to the fore. His songs were accused of promoting gun culture and bullying. The government and police believe that such songs have a negative impact on the youth. Recently, STF and Cyber Unit of Haryana Police removed 19 of his songs from YouTube and other digital platforms.
Masoom Sharma expressed his displeasure after the songs were removed. He said that if gun culture is wrong, then similar laws should be implemented in the entire country. It is not fair to target only the artists of Haryana. He says that removing the songs will not end crimes.
Other controversies and allegations
Masoom Sharma’s name has also come up in other controversies. He has received death threats and on some occasions he has also been accused of misbehaving with fans. However, he has denied all these allegations.
