Two new visas that will allow foreigners to reside in Vietnam for up to five years will be rolled out on July 1 this year.
The National Assembly passed Law No. 118/2025/QH15, amending 10 laws related to security and order, which includes the two new visas, according to the government’s portal.
The UĐ1 visa will be issued to highly skilled digital technology professionals and others eligible for preferential treatment under the laws and resolutions passed by the National Assembly and its Standing Committee.
UĐ2 will be issued to their spouses and children under 18 years of age.
The government said the visas are expected to help attract skilled human resources.
