Haryana: Horrific road accident in Haryana, 2 people died in bus-truck collision
Haryana News: A painful road accident took place in Nuh district of Haryana on Wednesday morning. There was a massive collision between a private bus and a speeding truck near village Gujar Nangla on the Delhi-Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway under Firozpur Jhirka police station area. Two people died in this accident, while about 10 passengers were seriously injured.
The accident was so severe that both the bus and the truck were badly damaged after the collision. Due to the collision, traffic on the expressway was also affected for some time. As soon as the information was received, Firozpur Jhirka police station reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.
Fog and high speed became the cause of the accident
According to eyewitnesses, there was dense fog on the highway at around 7:15 in the morning. Meanwhile, a speeding truck suddenly pressed the side. The overtaking bus collided with the truck on the left side. The collision was so strong that the truck went ahead tearing the bus and hearing the loud noise, the people present nearby reached the spot.
The bus driver stopped the vehicle after the accident. The passengers sitting on the left side of the bus suffered more injuries. Passers-by and local villagers showed promptness and took the injured out of the bus and immediately informed the police control room and ambulance.
Death of two passengers confirmed in hospital
Police and ambulance reached the spot within some time. The injured were admitted to nearby hospitals including Al Aafia Hospital in Mandikheda. Doctors declared two passengers dead during treatment. The deceased have not been identified yet.
The bus was going from Balaji to Delhi
According to the information, the bus was going from Balaji in Rajasthan to Delhi. This accident happened near culvert number 55, where there is a slope and a bend in the road. It is feared that both the vehicles went out of control due to slope, turn, fog and high speed.
Truck driver absconding, search continues
SHO Subhash of Firozpur Sadar police station said that the police team had reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Two people have died and the bodies have been sent to Al Aafia Hospital for postmortem. Treatment of the injured is continuing. The truck driver has absconded along with the vehicle, which is being searched. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
