PM Modi wished the countrymen on Makar Sankranti, said – ‘May Sun God bless everyone’

New Delhi, 14 January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival, celebrated according to local traditions and customs in different parts of the country. On the day of Makar Sankranti, the Sun enters Capricorn and it is also called Uttarayan festival.

PM Modi said in a post on ‘X’, ‘This holy festival of Sankranti is celebrated according to local customs and traditions in different parts of the country. I pray to Lord Surya for everyone’s happiness, prosperity and good health.

The Prime Minister said in another post, ‘Heartiest wishes on the auspicious occasion of Uttarayan! May this holy festival of Makar Sankranti fill your life with happiness and may everyone be blessed with good health and happiness. May this joyous celebration further strengthen the bond of togetherness and bring prosperity and positivity for all.

PM Modi also wished the people on Magh Bihu, a festival celebrated in Assam and parts of the Northeast. He said, ‘Magh Bihu is a celebration of harvest, prosperity, happiness and unity. May this festival bring prosperity, good health and happiness to every home. May the spirit of gratitude and goodwill keep us moving towards a bright and prosperous future.
