He also appealed to NATO to take initiative in this direction and said that with the inclusion of Greenland, NATO will become stronger. Trump has also indicated earlier that he will not shy away from the use of force if necessary.
France’s warning: playing with sovereignty is dangerous
After Trump’s statements, many European countries have become vocal, among which France is at the forefront. After the cabinet meeting, French President Emmanuel Macron said in a strict tone that playing with the sovereignty of any European and allied country can have serious consequences.
Expressing solidarity with Greenland, Macron said that Europe is keeping a close eye on this entire incident.

Trump’s aggressive policy regarding the Greenland issue may also affect the trade relations between the EU and America. Some members of the European Parliament are demanding a ban on the proposed trade deal with America.
According to reports, if America does not change its stance regarding Greenland, then consideration may be given to stopping the law related to reducing import duty on American goods. However, in response to this, Trump may threaten to impose more tariffs on European products.
