Veterans including Bhagwat-Tendulkar voted in Maharashtra civic elections 2026!
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat cast his vote at a polling booth in Nagpur for the Maharashtra civic elections. Speaking to the media, he said that elections are an essential part of a democratic structure, hence it is also the duty of the citizens, so it is our duty to vote for the candidate who seems worthy after having a balanced thought and considering the public interest. That’s why I came and voted first.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal along with his family cast his vote at a polling booth in Mumbai. Piyush Goyal said that while voting in South Mumbai, he saw the honesty of a couple aged above 80 years. How diligently did they come to vote? He was truly a role model and inspiration for every Mumbaikar.
He said that I saw many disabled people and many elderly people who are very conscious about their duty to vote.
Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol cast his vote with his family at the polling booth in Pune’s Ward No. 31. He said that voting is going on for municipal elections in Pune. Veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also reached a polling booth in Mumbai on Thursday morning to cast his vote in the municipal elections. Tendulkar said that this is an opportunity where you can express your opinion through voting. Every person must vote. Voting is important for everyone.
Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Prakash Javadekar also cast his vote. Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC cast her vote. Apart from this, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan along with his family voted in Dombivali.
Former Governor Ram Naik cast his vote at Pahari School in Mumbai. He said that my habit has always been to go first and vote. Let us tell you that the voting is taking place for 2,869 seats in 29 municipal corporations of Maharashtra, which includes 227 seats of BMC. Votes will be cast at 5:30 pm.
