Supreme Court gives big blow to film makers, refuses to hear Vijay Jan Nayakan’s plea

News India Live, Digital Desk: The relationship between the film industry and the courts is very old. Often disputes regarding the release, name or censor board certificate of a film reach the courts. Something similar happened recently with the Tamil film ‘Vijay Jana Nayagan’, but this time the matter had reached the country’s biggest court i.e. the Supreme Court. The latest news is that the makers of the film were disappointed with the Supreme Court. Let us understand in simple language what the court said. Strict stance of the Supreme Court. Actually, the producers of the film had directly approached the Supreme Court regarding some matter (possibly due to censor board or release related issues). They wanted the court to hear this immediately. But the Supreme Court bench refused to consider this plea. The court’s statement was very clear. He told the producers that instead of coming directly to us, they should first go to the appropriate platform. The Supreme Court has directed them to approach the concerned High Court with their problems. The Court believed that jumping straight to the Supreme Court in every case (under Article 32) is not the right procedure unless there is a huge constitutional issue involved. Now what next? This decision of the Supreme Court does not mean that there is a stay on the film, but it means that the fight will go on for a long time. Now the makers of ‘Vijay Jan Nayakan’ will have to go back and file their application in the High Court. The future of the film will be decided on the basis of the decision that comes from there. Obviously, this legal maneuver may have some impact on the release or promotion schedule of the film. Fans who are eagerly waiting for this film will now have to keep an eye on the High Court hearing. As soon as there is any new twist in this matter, we will definitely update you. Till then, cinema buffs can just pray that these legal issues get resolved soon!
