Kanhaiya Mittal brings India’s first AI film on Khatu Shyam Baba, know complete details

Kanhaiya Mittal Khatu Shyam Movie: When devotion and technology step together, faith takes on a new form. A similar experiment has been done by famous bhajan singer and artist Kanhaiya Mittal, who is coming up with India’s first AI driven film based on Lord Khatu Shyam. Through this film, not only religious stories have been presented in a new style, but the message of positive and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence has also been given.

How did the idea of AI film on Khatu Shyam come about?

Kanhaiya Mittal tells that through this film, he wants to convey to the people the basic information related to Khatu Shyam ji – like his reincarnation, the story of his previous life and why he is called the ‘support of the defeated’. He has a clear vision behind choosing AI. He says, “We do not want that by giving a person the face of God, people start worshiping him. This is wrong according to us. It is with this thinking in mind that we took the risk of AI. If we leave the house, we will have to do something, otherwise we will return with experience.”

Casting of actors in mythology films

Kanhaiya Mittal was seen avoiding any kind of criticism on the casting of big stars in Ramayana or other mythological characters in Bollywood. He says, “We work in the creative world. Everyone has their own devotion and their own expression. Some offer laddus to God, some kachoris. Everyone has their own expression.”

How can devotion and AI become complements?

He explains the relationship between devotion and technology in very simple words. He said, “When devotion comes in food, it becomes Prasad, and when it comes in humans, it is worshiped like a saint. Now when we bring devotion in AI, people will love it more.”

The message of the film is not just religious

This film is not limited only to the story of Khatu Shyam ji, but its objective is also to give the message of proper use of technology.
Kanhaiya Mittal says, “AI is our future, but people are misusing it. Someone is being trolled by creating deepfakes. I want the technology to be used for good and positive works.”

How difficult was it to make a film with AI?

Along with this he told that this journey was not easy. Matching the dialogue, movement of the characters and technical details took a lot of time. Kanhaiya Mittal said, “But by the grace of Baba, everything happened automatically. Where I was expecting just one song, I got the entire film. 90 percent of the people who saw the film said that it looks like a real shoot.”

New experiments with AI in future

Kanhaiya Mittal is preparing to bring many projects through AI in future also. He says that many people want to join and cooperate with this initiative. He said, “We want to pay respect to the 36 communities that make up Sanatan – Jats, Yadavs, Chamars, Valmikis and others – and make something so that their history reaches their children.”
