Now people will not have to risk their lives to cross the road here. The administration has decided to construct a new footover bridge (FOB) here. With this decision, thousands of people coming and going to the market will get safety while crossing the road and the possibility of accidents happening every day on the Ring Road will also reduce significantly.

This modern bridge will be ready within five months, it is estimated that more than Rs 3 crore will be spent on the project.

Preparations for this project have been intensified. According to the information, this footover bridge will be ready for the public within just five months of the start of the construction work. It is estimated to cost around Rs 3.02 crore to complete this important project. Its construction will not only provide safety to pedestrians, but will also reduce the speed of traffic on the Ring Road, which will also provide relief from the problem of traffic jams to some extent.

A large number of people visit the Monastery Market every day for shopping and sightseeing. Especially during holidays and festivals there is no space to set foot here. At present, due to lack of any safe means, people have to cross the ring road risking their lives amidst fast moving vehicles. Due to this, there is always a possibility of accidents. In view of these problems and huge crowd, the administration has approved the construction of this bridge.

There will also be a provision of lift for the convenience of the elderly and disabled, 20 people will be able to use it at a time.

This new footover bridge has been designed keeping in mind the convenience of all sections of the society. Apart from stairs, provision has also been made to install lift, so that the elderly, women and disabled people do not face any problem in climbing up. It is being told that the capacity of the lift installed in the bridge will be very good, in which about 20 people will be able to move at a time. Local people were demanding a safe crossing here for a long time, which is now going to be completed soon.
