Lisa made her debut appearance at the annual U.S. film awards ceremony on Jan. 11, wearing a sheer chiffon gown by Jacquemus, paired with a multi-layered black stone choker by Bulgari.

The Daily Mail included her on its list of the worst-dressed stars at the event, writing: “Wrong event! Lisa from Blackpink looked like she was dressed for a Halloween party rather than the Golden Globes.”

On social media, opinions were divided. Some viewers complained that the look made Lisa appear older than her age, while others argued that the singer looks beautiful regardless of what she wears.

Born in Thailand, 29-year-old Lisa debuted with Blackpink in 2016 and launched her solo career in 2021 with the album “Lalisa.” Her hit single “Money” became the first song by a K-pop artist to surpass one billion streams on Spotify.

In recent years, alongside her music career, Lisa has increasingly focused on fashion-related activities and now has more than 106 million followers on Instagram.

At this year’s Golden Globes, Lisa was not alone in drawing fashion criticism. Other stars in the Daily Mail’s worst-dressed list include Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Lawrence, Charli XCX, Kristen Bell, Leighton Meester, and Jenna Ortega.

According to Vogue“old Hollywood glamor” emerged as the most prominent trend this awards season, with many stars opting for classic satin or velvet gowns in dominant shades of black, white and red. Alongside neutral tones, bolder colors such as yellow, cobalt blue and neon pink appeared sporadically. Sheer outfits also stood out as a notable trend.

In beauty, “cloud lips,” featuring softly blurred lip lines, were highlighted as an emerging trend, Glamour reported.
