Due to increasing conflicts around the world and expenditure on weapons, the picture of defense sector is horrifying, know the complete information…

These days, there is a situation of conflict and war in many countries around the world. Recently there was a conflict between Israel and Iran, in which America supported Israel. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for many years. At the same time, there has also been a conflict between India and Pakistan.

Let us tell you, nowadays huge investment is being made in the defense sector all over the world, while many countries are struggling with hunger and diseases. Despite this, expenditure on arms purchase continues to increase. The first condition of war is that a huge amount of money is invested in it.

Let us tell you, according to the report, this is the tenth year till 2025 when a continuous increase has been seen in the military budget across the world. The magnitude of wars increased so much that the burden of global defense spending reached 2.5%, and in countries where conflict was taking place, this figure reached 4.4%.

At the same time, the year 2024 has turned out to be a terrible year for global security. By 2023, arms spending is set to reach a record $2.7 trillion in 2024, an increase of 9.4% from last year. Along with this, the number of deaths also presents a frightening picture. Last year 239,000 people lost their lives. The wars in Gaza and Ukraine, the civil wars in Myanmar and Sudan, and the war in Ethiopia resulted in more than 10,000 deaths. While in 2023 there were four major wars going on around the world, in 2024 this number has increased to five.

Let us tell you, Europe has registered an increase of 83% in expenditure on arms, whereas in Asia-Oceania this increase was 46%. There has been an increase of 19% in America and Western Asia and 11% in Africa. It is clear from the data from 1988 to 2024 that America has been at the forefront, but Asia-Oceania has given tough competition in this region.

At the same time, it is clear from these figures that the hope for peace in the battlefield is diminishing. For countries that avoid wars, defense spending has been only 1.9%, but countries that are embroiled in conflicts have spent a large portion of their economies on arms. Global military spending is expected to increase by 37% between 2015 and 2024.

Let us tell you, India is also not behind in spending on defence. In view of the terrorist attacks and military threats being made by Pakistan, India has also spent on its military equipment. India’s military budget is set to reach $83.6 billion in 2024, making it the fifth largest defense spender in the world. India’s name comes after America, China, Russia and Germany. India’s global arms import between 2020 and 2024 was 8.3%. During this period, India has emerged as the largest importing country after Ukraine.

At the same time, from 1956 to 2024, India’s defense expenditure has increased from $2941 million to $83,623.1 million. During this period, India’s nuclear power has also increased and its number of warheads has increased from 172 to 180. This figure shows that India is taking every step regarding its security very strongly and cautiously.
