Bajaj Auto has officially launched its new electric scooter Bajaj Chetak C25 in the Indian market. The starting price of this scooter has been kept at Rs 91,399, which includes the central government’s PM E-DRIVE subsidy. The Bajaj Chetak C25 will compete directly with the TVS iQube at this price point. Let’s know about Bajaj’s new electric scooter.
Battery, range and charging
The Bajaj Chetak C25 is powered by a 2.5 kWh NMC battery. This scooter gives a range of around 113 kilometers on a full charge. This scooter is designed keeping in mind the daily commute in the city. It also gets a 750W off-board charger, which completes charging from 0 to 80 percent in just 2 hours and 25 minutes. This fast charging feature makes the scooter more useful in this segment.

Design, storage and variants
The new Chetak C25 is introduced with its classic metal body design, which has already become its signature. It has a large boot space of 25 liters capacity, which can easily store daily items including helmet. The scooter is available in Chetak 3501, 3502, 3503 and 3001 variants, allowing customers to choose options as per their needs and budget.
Bajaj Chetak’s strong hold in the market
Bajaj’s electric two-wheeler business is growing rapidly. The company’s sales are expected to reach 2,69,836 units in 2025, which is 39 percent higher than the previous year. This has increased Bajaj’s market share to 21 percent. In February 2025, Bajaj Auto became the number 1 e-two-wheeler company in the country for the first time, while in March the company reported record sales of 35,214 units.
Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto is steadily expanding its Chetak network. At present there are 390 exclusive stores, 4,280 sales points in over 500 cities and over 4,100 service workshops operating across the country. Electric vehicle sales in India are expected to increase steadily through 2025, with the e-two-wheeler segment accounting for the highest share.
