Mumbai: As soon as the trailer of ‘Border 2’ was released, it became a rage on social media. Launched on January 15, 2026, this trailer won the hearts of millions of viewers within a few hours. The return of Sunny Deol, the wonderful presence of Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty got the fans excited. The film is a sequel to the famous 1997 film ‘Border’, which is based on the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

Story and dialogues of ‘Border 2’

‘Border 2’ will definitely be a blockbuster…

This time director Anurag Singh has presented the story of the heroes of the Army, Air Force and Navy together, which is full of the spirit of patriotism. The trailer begins with the powerful voice of Sunny Deol, in which he explains to his soldiers that ‘For a soldier, the border is not just a line drawn on the map, but a promise made to his country.’ Hearing this dialogue gives goosebumps.

Sunny Deol’s character is once again the leader of the army, who gives a befitting reply to the enemy. In one scene he shouts – ‘War is won not by weapons but by courage?’ Which seems to be challenging Pakistan. Fans are calling it ‘lion’s roar’. In the trailer, Varun Dhawan is seen as an army officer, who fights the enemy on the ground. He has a dialogue – ‘Hum puja Ram ki karte hain aur tevar…’ which shows his bravery and faith. Diljit Dosanjh is an Air Force pilot, who challenges the enemy from the sky. His soulful acting and firing scenes are the highlights of the trailer.


Fans’ reactions

Ahan Shetty plays the role of a Navy officer, who is seen protecting the border in the sea. In a dialogue he says- ‘We are on the Indian border in these waters, the enemy cannot cross this line under any circumstances.’ One of the most talked about dialogues of the trailer is – ‘There are not as many people in your Pakistan as here, goats are slaughtered on Eid…’ Hearing this line, the fans said that Pakistan must have been shaken. Users are writing on social media – “The lion may grow old, but he never forgets to roar. Sunny Paaji is amazing!” Many commented that their chest felt heavy after watching the trailer, it is looking like a blockbuster.

Trailer success

The trailer has crossed millions of views on YouTube within minutes of its release. Fans are showering their praises. Some are calling Sunny Deol’s acting ‘legendary’, while others are calling the dialogues heart-winning. The VFX, background music and action sequences are also amazing. There were some complaints about the VFX on the first teaser, but everything looks clean and impressive in the trailer.

The film is releasing on Republic Day weekend on 23 January 2026, which makes it even more special. Producers are Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta and others. It also stars Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh. Looking at the trailer, it seems that ‘Border 2’ will not only be full of action, but will also give a touch of emotion and patriotism. Overall, the trailer proved that the magic of Sunny Deol is still intact.
