Case Filed Against Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan

A case has been filed in Kalahandi Khauti Court against Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, along with PepsiCo and the Advertising Council of India, over a Mountain Dew advertisement.

Deepak Dubey of Khariar lodged the complaint, stating that his son was influenced by the advertisement featuring the two actors. The boy insisted on buying the soft drink after watching the commercial, believing it would boost his strength and guarantee victory in a race. However, the claim proved false, leading to the complaint.

The advertisement, starring Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, allegedly misled children and created unrealistic expectations. The complainant argued that such promotions have a harmful impact on young minds.

The first hearing took place on December 22, and the second hearing is scheduled for January 19. Interestingly, the complainant demanded only one rupee as compensation, symbolising his protest against misleading advertisements rather than seeking monetary gain.

Legal representatives have already stepped in. Advocate Amit Jain appeared for the Advertising Council, Anish Pattnayak represented Salman Khan, while Kunal Behera & Associates handled the case for Hrithik Roshan and PepsiCo.
