New Delhi:- On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Gorakshpeethadhishwar and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered the sacred pot of faith to Guru Gorakhnath at the Gorakhnath temple this morning. During his meeting with the devotees after the puja, such a moment came up which made people laugh.

When Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was sitting, he called the small child. He caressed her head affectionately. The Chief Minister asked him what he wanted? The child did not say anything. CM Yogi asked two-three times with great affection, only then did the child whisper something in his ear. The Chief Minister could not understand what the child was saying. He asked what was needed. The child said he wanted chips. Hearing this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laughed out loud. Hearing his laughter, the devotees and security personnel present there smiled. After this, chips were ordered for the child and given to him.

Best wishes given to the people of the state
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while talking to the media after the puja at Gorakhnath temple, wished the people of the state, saints and devotees on Makar Sankranti. He said that Makar Sankranti is a very important festival of Indian Sanatan tradition. Which is a symbol of faith, spiritual practice and social harmony. CM said that since Wednesday, lakhs of devotees are expressing their faith by reaching holy places across the state. On Thursday, long queues of devotees formed in Gorakhpur to have darshan of Baba Gorakhnath. It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to offer the sacred pot of faith to Lord Gorakhnath after the special puja of Gorakhnath temple at 4 in the morning.
Sun God is the soul of this world
The Chief Minister said that Sun God is the soul of this world. Sun worship has been given a special place in the Sanatan tradition. Makar Sankranti is considered very auspicious for all types of auspicious and auspicious works. CM said that according to astrological tradition, the Sun’s solar circle is divided into 12 zodiac signs. The transition of Sun from one zodiac sign to another is called Sankranti. When the Sun enters Capricorn from Sagittarius, it is called Makar Sankranti. From this day the Sun becomes Uttarayan and remains Uttarayan for six months till Gemini. During Uttarayan period, days are longer and nights are shorter. This time is considered a symbol of energy, life and positivity. The importance of sunlight in human life can be estimated from India’s sage traditions and festivals.

Chief Minister Yogi greeted the devotees from across the country and the world on Makar Sankranti. He said that while lakhs of devotees are offering Khichdi to Baba Gorakhnath in Gorakhpur, a wonderful scene of faith is being seen on the banks of Sangam in Prayagraj. In Prayagraj, Kalpavasi and saints are engrossed in meditation. Devotees are earning virtue by taking a dip in the holy confluence of Mother Ganga, Mother Yamuna and Mother Saraswati. This scene shows the spiritual heritage and cultural unity of the country. The Chief Minister said that such festivals not only strengthen religious faith but also unite the society.
