Gumla: A case of molestation of girl students of Fisri College located near Kali Mandir on Jashpur Road of the city has come to light. Unruly youth had also created ruckus by entering the college. Unruly youths have been roaming around the college for several days. A complaint was made about this, but when the police did not take action, the angry students surrounded Gumla Sadar police station on Thursday. The girl students have demanded action against the unruly youth. There has also been a demand to increase police patrolling near the college.

The girl students allege that the police go on patrol, but never stop near the Kali temple and college. Which is the result. The mischievous youth roaming near the college molest the girl students. Here, after the persuasion of police station in-charge Mahendra Karmali, the students calmed down and returned back to the college. The students told that late on Wednesday evening, some students had gone out of the college campus for tea and breakfast. During which there was some altercation due to some mischievous youths living in Ramnagar near Kargil Hotel who got pushed while reversing their bike.

After this, all the same youths chased the girl students and came inside the college campus and created a ruckus by threatening to kill some of the girl students. After the incident, the police are showing activeness and are interrogating some people by taking them to the police station. At present there is an atmosphere of anger among the girl students. The students have said that if action is not taken then a written complaint will be made to the senior officials.

Gumla police station in-charge Mahendra Karmali told about this incident that the girl students of Fisri College had come to the police station. Written application has been given. Three patrol cars of Mahila police station used to run in Jashpur Road. The girl students complain that the patrol car has stopped running. Action is being taken on the written application. Patrolling will be increased in Jashpur Road. The students have not surrounded the police station. He has expressed his views only by giving written application.
