General Dwivedi said on Army Day – ‘Operation Sindoor’ established new normal, emphasis on self-reliance

Jaipur, 15 January. Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has established a new normal. This operation demonstrates the Indian Army’s capability of quick response, better coordination and precise action. He said that it presents a picture of a mature, confident and responsible military force, which is fully capable of protecting national interests. The Army Chief said these things in a program organized in Jaipur on the occasion of Army Day.

Focus on preparing for future wars

Army Chief General Dwivedi said that there has been a clear change in the thinking of the Indian Army in the last few years. Now the Army is not limited only to the current challenges but is also working seriously on preparing for future wars. In this direction, new structures are being developed, which are being equipped and trained as per the requirements of the future.

Increased strength from new military units

He said that under this transformation process, new units like Bhairav Battalion, Ashani Platoon, Shaktiban Regiment and Divyastra Battery have been raised. These units symbolize the creation of an agile, ready and mission-focused Indian Army to meet the challenges of the future.

Self-reliance became the cornerstone of change

General Upendra Dwivedi said that the cornerstone of this transformation of the Army is self-reliance. A glimpse of this was seen in the ‘Made in India’ equipment during the Army Day Parade. He said that Swadeshi has now become not just a goal but a strategic necessity. In future, the Army needs such weapons and equipment which are designed and developed in India only.

Special emphasis on dual-use resources

The Army Chief said that special attention is also being given to dual-use resources, which can be used for both military and civilian purposes. He said that efforts are being made to ensure that the infrastructure, technology and innovations developed for the Army also contribute to the overall development of the country.

Best wishes to soldiers on Army Day

The Army Chief extended hearty greetings to all Indian Army soldiers, civilian employees, ex-servicemen, brave women and their families on the occasion of Army Day. On this auspicious occasion, he respectfully paid tribute to the brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in the service of the country and expressed gratitude to the Rajasthan government and the citizens of Jaipur for organizing the event.

Step towards future-ready army

General Dwivedi said that organizing Army Day in Jaipur is an effort to bring the army closer to the citizens. He said that the Indian Army is moving forward as a future-ready force with well-trained soldiers, modern systems and capability for multi-domain operations.

Focus of next two years on data and networking

He clarified that technology is not being used to replace the soldiers but to make them more capable. Building on the progress made so far, the next two years have been declared the year of networking and data-centricity to transform the Indian Army into a data-driven, network-enabled and fully integrated force.

Confluence of tradition and change in parade

A beautiful confluence of tradition and transformation was seen in the Army Day Parade. The Nepal Army Band reflected the long and strong ties between the two countries while the participation of new military units underlined the growing strength of the Indian Army.
