Under-19 World Cup: India will face America in the first match, Jay Shah congratulated
Call me. India captain Ayush Mhatre won the toss and decided to bowl first against America in the first match of the Under-19 World Cup here on Thursday. Apart from star batsman like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the Indian team, which is challenging to win the record sixth title, also has great batsmen like Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra.
India’s decision to bowl first may have been due to the overcast sky which may help their fast bowlers, especially the tall Deepesh Devendran, at the start. America is being captained by Utkarsh Srivastava.
India bowled out America for 107 runs.
Thanks to the excellent performance of the bowlers led by Henil Patel (five wickets), India on Thursday bowled out America for 107 runs in 35.2 overs in the first match of the Under-19 World Cup. Today here, India’s Under-19 team won the toss and decided to bowl first. America, who came to bat, did not have a good start and lost the wicket of Amrinder Gill (one) in the very second over.
He was dismissed by Henil Patel. After this, Arjun Mahesh and Sahil Garg tried to handle the innings, but their batsmen could not last long in front of the Indian bowling attack. Arjun Mahesh and Sahil Garg (16-16) were out after scoring runs. Adnit Jhamb (18) was out after scoring 18 runs.
The remaining seven batsmen could not even reach double figures. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was bowling the 36th over, ended America’s innings at the score of 107 by dismissing Nitish Sudini on the second ball. Nitish Sudini played the highest innings of 36 runs for the team. For India, Henil Patel took five wickets for 16 runs in seven overs. Deepesh Devendran, Ambrish, Khilan Patel and Vaibhav Suryavanshi dismissed one batsman each.
