Desk. Famous actor Deepak Tijori has recently become a victim of fraud. He was defrauded of approximately Rs 2.5 lakh in an attempt to raise financial assistance for his upcoming film. A case has been registered against three persons in this case, as told by a police officer.

According to police information, Deepak Tijori was looking for financial help for his new film. In this sequence, one of his friends introduced him to an accused, who claimed to be associated with a music company. In February last year, Tijori also met a woman who introduced herself as a film producer. She assured that she could help find investors for the film and demanded Rs 5 lakh for the work. Subsequently, Deepak Tijori paid Rs 2.5 lakh as the first installment.

Promise and influence of the accused

The accused had promised to provide a ‘Letter of Interest’ from a leading content company within a week and had also signed a contract for the same. However, they failed to deliver the promised documents and thereafter stopped responding to Deepak Tijori’s calls and messages. When the actor realized that he had been duped, he lodged a complaint at the Bangur Nagar police station last month.

The police officer said that all three accused will be called for investigation. At present the investigation of the case is going on and a thorough investigation is being conducted by the authorities.
