This decision of Saudi Arabia can become a big challenge for America. Without the Saudi route, it would be a mission impossible for American bombers to reach Iran. Riyadh has made it clear that it will not allow its land to become a launchpad to destroy any other country. This ‘deception’ of Saudi Arabia has cut the wings of Trump’s war planes. This decision of Saudi Arabia is no less than good news for Iran. This could prove to be a ‘protective shield’ for Khamenei.

American jets and missiles will have a long way to go

The shortest and easiest route from the American base in the Gulf to Iran passes through Saudi Arabia. If Saudi Arabia closes its airspace, American fighter planes and missiles will have to travel a much longer distance. This will lead to shortage of fuel and the risk of getting caught on the way will also increase. Saudi Arabia’s ‘no’ means that the threat of attack on more than half of Iran will be averted.

American and Israeli jets wanted to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities with a ‘surprise attack’. Without Saudi airspace, they would have to take difficult routes through countries like Iraq or Türkiye, where Iranian radars could easily detect them.

Live firing practice by Iran

Live firing exercises are underway by Iran along the Persian Gulf coast and areas adjacent to Iraq and Azerbaijan. According to defense experts, anti-aircraft guns designed to shoot down enemy aircraft are being used in these military exercises. Last week, Iran’s aviation authority issued at least 20 Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), warning pilots to avoid designated danger areas in southern and northwestern Iran.

Iran’s virtual wall

According to an NDTV report, Iran has erected a virtual wall of fire on its southern coast in front of Bahrain and Qatar, where America has major military bases. Many of these danger zones are near Qom, which is 150 kilometers from Tehran. Qom also has oil and gas fields, airport and port. These exercises will continue till next week. Some of these drills have already started.
