26 January Parade: Every year 26 January is celebrated as Republic Day. This day is a day of pride and honor for every Indian. Among the two national festivals of the country, the occasion of Republic Day is the most special, on this day in the year 1950, our Constitution came into force and India became a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. On the occasion of Republic Day, a parade is organized on the Kartavi Path and apart from the parade, cultural programs are also organized there. People who are going to watch the parade for the first time need to keep some important things in mind.

1- First of all, understand the rules related to entry seriously. Be sure to carry a valid photo identity card like Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Driving License with you. Keep your tickets (physical or digital) safe and reach the designated gate well before time, as late entry may cause problems.

2- You already know the winter here in Delhi and it is important to protect yourself from it. It is colder in the morning, so it is wise to wear warm and comfortable clothes. Footwear should also be such that one can stand or walk for a long time.

3- To avoid any kind of trouble during the Republic Day parade, it is strictly prohibited to take some things along. Do not keep any kind of sharp or pointed object, nail cutter, scissors, lighter, matchstick or flammable material in the bag. There is a complete ban on cigarettes, gutkha, tobacco, alcohol or any intoxicant.

4- If mobile phones are prohibited in the Republic Day parade or there are rules for not taking photographs, then do not make any mistake, you may have to pay a fine.
