Indian Army Day: Mahakumbh of bravery on Army Day in Jaipur! Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi honored the soldiers
Jaipur, 15 January. The Indian Army displayed its bravery, passion, courage and invincible strength in the parade organized on Thursday on the 78th Army Day in Jaipur. A large number of people gathered to watch this parade organized publicly for the first time in the city. The 78th Army Day Parade was organized by the Sapta Shakti Command of the Army at Mahal Road, Jagatpura. Jaipur became the stage of military bravery, valor and discipline in the parade.
The modern military power of the Indian Army was impressively displayed in this parade. This time the theme of Army Day has been kept as ‘Indian Army Bravery and Sacrifice’. The special thing is that during this, the skill of indigenous weapons was shown. Before the parade, Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan, Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, Air Commodore Purushottam Verma, Vice Admiral Tarun Sobti paid tribute to the martyrs by offering bouquets at the Prerna Sthal built at the military station.
In the programme, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi honored the soldiers with ‘Gallantry Awards’. He awarded the Sena Medal for Gallantry Awards (posthumously) to Subedar Major Pawan Kumar, Havildar Sunil Kumar, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar, Lance Naik Subhash Kumar and Lance Naik Pradeep Kumar. When the Army Chief was honoring the families of the martyrs with Sena Medal, tears welled up in the eyes of the family members.
The award ceremony was followed by the salute by the Parade Commander, Param Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Mahavir Chakra and Kirti Chakra and the awardees. Three Chetak helicopters showered flowers on the parade. The parade started with Nepali band. After this, soldiers of 61 Cavalry Regiment, reconnaissance squad, BrahMos missile, Arjun tank, Shilka and Dhruv cannon and state-of-the-art drones were demonstrated.
The power of fast acting armored vehicles and BMP, K-9 Vajra cannon, 155 mm Amogh, indigenous Trishul Shaktibaan, Sanyukta Jammer, Pinaka Launcher was shown in the hilly desert and plain areas. Through the parade, the message of the strength of the Indian Army was given by showcasing tanks, state-of-the-art artillery, missile systems, air defense systems, rocket launchers, drones and robotic systems.
The dog squad of the Indian Army also participated in the parade. When the Para Troopers passed through the parade, the spectators welcomed them with applause. The soldiers of the newly formed Bhairav Battalion of the Indian Army added enthusiasm to the parade. Squads from Ladakh, Dogra, Himachal, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim Scouts participated in the parade. Cadets of Maratha Light Infantry, Madras Regiment, Rajput Regiment, Dogra Regiment, Artillery Regiment, National Cadets Corps presented band recital.
Along with ‘Operation Sindoor’, a glimpse of the rich folk art and culture of Rajasthan was also seen in the tableaux displayed in the parade. Rajasthan’s folk dance Kachchi Ghodi, traditional folk dance Dangal along with beautiful tableaux of Rajasthan were displayed. Air warriors Apache, Prachanda, Dhruv and Rudra helicopters passed over the parade and welcomed the Army officers, guests and spectators.
After this, Army Service Corps soldiers performed amazing stunts on motorcycles. The journey of the Indian Army was shown through a short film at the beginning of the parade. After this, when the Pahalgam attack was shown in the short film based on Operation Sindoor, tears welled up in people’s eyes. The spectators cheered the army soldiers by raising slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, along with several ministers and others were present at the programme. A large number of people started arriving since morning to watch the parade. Tight security arrangements were made for this.
