Big relief to Kangana Ranaut in defamation case, Bathinda Court exempts her from appearance

BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has today got a big relief from the Bathinda High Court in the defamation case. The court allowed him to appear in the subsequent hearing through video conference. The court accepted Kangana’s request for not being physically present. The court also gave permission to present other witnesses against Kangana. The next hearing of this case will now be on January 27.

Kangana Ranaut appeared in Bathinda court today through video conferencing. There was an argument between both the sides. The court passed the order after hearing arguments from both sides and directed that Ranaut will attend the proceedings virtually on every hearing date.

Advocate Raghubir Singh Brahminwal, representing babe Mahinder Kaur, said that she has filed a fresh petition in the court requesting that her passport be confiscated to prevent her from traveling abroad on the pretext of film shooting.

Actually, Kangana had made derogatory remarks about an elderly woman involved in the farmers’ movement. He made fun of her in a social media post, following which the elderly woman filed a defamation case against him.

Recently Kangana Ranaut had appealed to the Supreme Court to dismiss the case, but the Supreme Court did not accept her petition.
