UP delegation leaves for Davos for WEF, emphasis will be given on investment attraction and ease of doing business

Uttar Pradesh will present its strengths and development strategies at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting 2026 held in Davos, Switzerland. The delegation of UP will participate in this annual meeting to be held from 19 to 23 January under the leadership of Finance Minister Suresh Khanna.

This time the main objective of UP is to establish the state as a global investment destination. In the meeting, special emphasis will be laid on Uttar Pradesh’s industrial policy, investment attraction, and ease of doing business.

Major participation points of Uttar Pradesh:

  • To establish UP as a major investment destination for Global Capability Centers (GCC).
  • Presenting sector-specific opportunities through curated branding, investment-focused presentations, multimedia showcases and bilateral meetings.
  • To further strengthen ease of doing business, convey the message of transparent administration and time bound project implementation.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with international investors, industry leaders, diplomats and policy-makers.

On this platform, UP state will aim to attract investors by showcasing its industrial policies and potential, which will further strengthen the economic condition of the state.
