Indian women’s team announced for Australia tour, this player returns after 7 years for T20 series
Indian Women’s Team for Australia Tour: The Indian team has been announced for the three-match T20 series and three-match ODI series between the Indian women’s team and Australia women’s team. After WPL, the Indian women’s team has to tour Australia. Spinner Shreyanka Patil has been given a chance in the T20 team. At the same time, Bharti Phulmali has also returned to this team after a long time.
BCCI has announced the team for Australia tour during WPL itself. The T20 series will start from 15th February. After that the ODI series will be played. This match will be played from 15 February to 9 March. After the limited overs series, the only Test match will start from March 6, the team for which will be announced later.
Bharti Phulmali returns after 7 years
Indian Fulmali has returned to the Indian team after 7 years. Bharti could play only 2 matches for India in 2019. After that, now he has been included in the team again in 2026. Bharti has scored 289 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 162.85 in WPL 2026. The team management has once again expressed confidence that Bharti Fulmali can make an important contribution to the team in finishing.
Shreyanka returns to the team after 2024
Shreyanka last represented India in the T20 World Cup 2024. After this, she is making a comeback in the T20 team after being out of action for about 14 months due to injuries in her shin, wrist and thumb. Richa Ghosh and G Kamalini have been named as wicketkeeping options for both white-ball formats.
Australia tour schedule
The first match of the T20 series will be held on 15 February at the Sydney Cricket Ground. After this, the second match will be played on 19 February at Manuka Oval in Canberra and the third match will be played on 21 February at Adelaide Oval. After the T20 series, the focus will turn to the ODI series, which begins on February 24 at Allan Border Field in Brisbane. The teams will then travel to Hobart’s Bellerive Oval for the second and third ODIs, which are scheduled to be held on February 27 and March 1 respectively. The tour will conclude with the prestigious one-off Test match, which will be played at the Perth Stadium from 6 to 9 March.
