Noida: Due to dense fog, a heart-wrenching accident took place in Noida, in which 27-year-old software engineer Yuvraj Mehta lost his life. His car fell into a deep, water-filled ditch. The most painful thing about this accident is what his father Rajkumar Mehta said, in which he told that in his last moments his son repeatedly "Papa, save me" Said.
How did the accident happen?
Yuvraj was returning home from work on Friday evening. There was dense fog near Sector 150. There were no reflectors or any warning boards on the road. Suddenly his car hit a high ridge and fell into a 70 feet deep water-filled ditch through the gap separating two drains.
The car was completely submerged in water. Yuvraj got stuck on the roof of the car. He turned on the torch of his phone and asked for help. From midnight to 2 in the morning, they kept controlling themselves so that the car does not go down further.
Father’s painful statement
Rajkumar Mehta received a call and message from his son that the car had fallen into a ditch. They immediately reached the spot and informed the police and fire brigade. The teams arrived within 15 minutes, but they did not have the right equipment to rescue the son. Father told, "I kept running everywhere, calling someone to save my son. But nothing could be done. In the last hours he was continuously saying ‘Papa, save me’. I tried everything possible, but the son could not escape."
Let us tell you, Yuvraj was a resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar. He was a software engineer in a company in Gurugram. He had worked very hard in his studies. His mother passed away two years ago and his sister lives in Britain.

The family complained to the police that there were no reflectors on the road and the drains were not covered. The accident occurred due to lack of these facilities in dense fog. Local people protested and demonstrated. Police said that negligence will be investigated and action will be taken. After the accident, the officials filled the ditch with debris.
