IPL: With the help of Mitchell Marsh’s century, LSG defeated GT by 33 runs Gujarati

Ahmedabad: The 64th match of IPL 2025 was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With the help of Mitchell Marsh’s explosive century of 117 runs, LSG won the match by 33 runs. While chasing the target of 236 runs, GT’s Sai Sudarshan (21) and captain Shubhman Gill (35) failed to score big. However, the team got off to a steady start.

At number three, wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler (33) and Rutherford (38) also scored fast runs. Shahrukh Khan, who came to bat at number five, scored a quick 57 runs in 29 balls and tried to take the team closer to the target. However, after this none of the batsmen could do anything special and the entire team could score only 202 runs after losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Will O’Rourke took maximum three wickets for Lucknow. Apart from this, Avesh Khan and Ayush Badoni took two wickets each, while Akash Singh and Shahbaz Ahmed took one wicket each. Earlier, after coming into bat after losing the toss, LSG made a good start. Opener Mitchell Marsh played a quick inning of 117 runs in 64 balls. During this period, he hit 10 Chaggas and 8 Skyscraper Chaggas.

Adam Markram (36) and Nicholas Pooran (56), who came to bat at number three, scored unbeaten half-centuries. In the end, captain Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten (16). In this way the entire team scored 235 runs losing 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. On the other hand, Arshad Khan and Sai Kishore took one wicket each from GT, while Rashid Khan proved to be the most expensive. He gave 26 runs in two overs.
