Amendment in Lado Lakshmi Scheme

Haryana Government has made changes in the financial assistance available under Lado Lakshmi Scheme. Now women will be provided Rs 1100 in cash, while an amount of Rs 1000 will be kept as a fixed deposit.

Chandigarh. Naib Singh Saini government has made an important announcement for the women of Haryana. If you are planning to avail the benefits of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Lado Lakshmi Yojana, then this information is extremely important for you. The government has made a major change in the scheme.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini told a press conference in Chandigarh that now Rs 2100 will not be transferred every month to the bank accounts of eligible women. According to the new rules coming into effect from February, the cash amount has been reduced to Rs 1100.

Use of remaining Rs 1000

What will happen to the remaining Rs 1000?

It is natural for women to have this question as to what will happen to their remaining share of Rs 1000. On this, the Chief Minister clarified that the government is taking this step to secure the future of women. Therefore out of the total amount of Rs 2100, Rs 1000 will be kept in recurring deposit or fixed deposit.

This means that women will get Rs 1100 every month for expenses, while Rs 1000 will continue to accumulate as their savings. This amount will become an important fund in the future, which will prove helpful in difficult times. If any beneficiary woman passes away, this deposited amount will be given immediately to her nominee.

Award for Excellence in Education

Reward for mothers of children who are smart in studies

The government has taken a new initiative by linking this scheme with education. Now the benefit of this scheme will also be available to those mothers whose children are top in studies. According to the new rules, if the annual family income of a woman is up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand and her child has scored more than 80 percent marks in 10th or 12th board examination from a government school, then that woman will be eligible for this scheme. This step will improve the level of education in government schools and motivate children to work hard.

Help for women suffering from serious illnesses

Support to women suffering from serious diseases

Adopting a humanitarian approach, the Nayab Saini government has also included women suffering from serious diseases in this scheme. Now women suffering from third and fourth stage of cancer will also get its benefit. Apart from this, poor women suffering from diseases like haemophilia, thalassemia and sickle cell anemia have also been linked to the Lado Lakshmi scheme. Women who are receiving pension from the government for treatment will also now get this additional financial assistance.

Plan to increase the scope of the scheme

Scope increased from January 2026

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to empower more and more sisters and daughters economically. For this purpose, the scope of the scheme will be increased from January 2026. Now priority is being given to families with annual income up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand.

Experts believe that adding the option of saving with cash is a wise step. This will create a secure fund for women, from which they can start their own small business in future or invest in the higher education of their children.
